We all know that the Hummer car is not a green car. It is inefficient with fuel and it’s a big car so it uses a lot of materials in the design. However Hummer tuning can increase the gas mileage available with the Hummer and make it at least a little bit greener.

Hummer Car Drawbacks for Green Drivers

Everyone wants a green car right now because they want to save money on gas. The Hummer car is a fuel-inefficient vehicle which means that it’s not green in the sense of gas mileage. Hummer tuning can improve this. However, the size of the Hummer and other Hummer car features are things that only a design change will improve.

Hummer Tuning for Greener Driving

What’s great to know is that some of the Hummer tuning that would be done to green the Hummer car is really simple tuning. The Hummer can be kept in tip-top shape with a highly tuned engine in order to maximize the gas mileage of the car. More advanced Hummer tuning could make the vehicle greener as could good green driving habits.

Hummer Design Improvements

If you compare Hummer Reviews to other car reviews such as Bentley Reviews or Subaru Reviews, you’ll see that the hummer isn’t as green as other cars even with great Hummer tuning. This requires a design change for the Hummer car to make it truly green. There are rumors that the next Hummer to be released to the market will be a greener Hummer.

One of the biggest complaints that the average person has about the Hummer is that it’s not an earth-friendly vehicle. That may have been true for the Hummer H1 but it’s not going to be the case for the Hummer H4. New hummers are going to operate off of diesel or ethanol blends in order to reduce the devastating impact that these vehicles can have on the earth.

Drawbacks of the Hummer

The Hummer is a great vehicle which has a lot of fans. However, many people have expressed disgust for Hummers because of the fact that these vehicles are so fuel inefficient. The complaint is that we as Americans should be doing our part to save the Earth and not putting our money into things like air-polluting Hummers.

New Hummers Will be Green

In order to combat this one major complaint about Hummers, the company has announced that the Hummer H4 is going to be a green vehicle. The average fuel efficiency of these new Hummers will rise from 25 mpg to 35 mpg in order to meet new regulations that are taking place in Congress.

Since the Hummer H1

A Hummer like the Hummer H4 that may end up getting 35 mpg is significantly different from the Hummer H1 that was first released to the market. The Hummer H1 got less than 15 mpg and was often cited as being 10 mpg in the city. Compared to that, the Hummer H4 really is a green car.

The Hummer H4 as Green

The Hummer H4 is still behind the times in terms of fuel efficiency as compared to leading small hybrid cars. However, the new Hummers are a step in the right direction for allowing people to own the Hummer they want while doing less damage.
